Play Outside

Rocks, sand, mud, and water… trees, flowers, bushes, and grass… slides, swings, trikes, and wagons… young children experience the outdoors differently from adults. For a young child a small leaf awakens the brain to think, touch, and wonder.

A climb up a small incline or a perch on a wall expands the view. If you are three feet tall and stand on a mound with a bit of elevation the perspective seems tremendous. Yes, children like to play king of the hill for a reason… it changes their perspectives. The magic of the environment comes to life for children when they are free to explore and discover their natural surroundings.

Play makes learning joyful! Imagination is a lifelong gift!
